How to use the Archive
There are four basic ways to search the Archive:- by functional area (like engine or brakes)
- by the original 6 to 8-digit SAAB part number (like 8810418)
- by keyword description of parts (like hose clamp) with an optional limitation to particular Sonett models (like Sonett V4 only)
- by substitution or modification alternatives
Model overlaps
The three Sonett models — II, V4, and III — share numerous functional systems that can be selectively searched in the archive by selecting the optional model filters. The Sonett also significantly overlaps with three other models — the Monte Carlo, 95, and 96 — as illustrated in the table below.
The Sonett II shares many engine, electrical, transmission, brake and other systems with the two-cycle 95, 96, and Monte Carlo 850. The Sonett V4 and III share similar systems with the V4 versions of the 95, 96, and Monte Carlo.
